![]() ![]() Refreshing Firefox can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its default state, while saving your essential information like bookmarks, passwords, and open tabs. If you're having problems with Firefox, a refresh can help. But the solution is simple, it worked for them on PC and it worked for my Mac, too: Refresh Firefox. It didn't take me long to find a user with the same issue that I was having (albeit on PC - I'm on Mac). Google search just wasn't helping, so I decided to try the 1Password Forum instead to see if there were any threads that I hadn't managed to find via Google. I didn't really want to do that as I knew the extension was working fine before. I was sent down the same uninstall/re-install rabbit hole with a few new suggestions to try the latest beta versions of the app and extension. Unfortunately, this new info didn't yield any new results. Reading manifest: Warning processing key: An unexpected property was found in the WebExtension manifest. This weekend, I found myself with some free time and decided to see if I could get to the bottom of the issue. Depending on your needs, you can change how often your Master Password is required instead of Touch ID. Otherwise, every time the app window is closed the browser extension will be locked. ![]() Then the auto-lock settings under Security will be respected. This was a minor inconvenience but because the 1Password desktop app was still working fine and I didn't want to waste any more time trying to fix it, I let it be. In 1Password 8, the workaround is to enable the menu bar item under Settings > General > Keep 1Password in the menu bar. When the classic uninstall/re-install advice from 1Password didn't resolve the issue and a few quick searches on Google also proved fruitless, I gave up. Clicking on the extension icon did nothing and selecting login fields on webpages no longer showed 1Password suggestions. Then, about 4 or so weeks ago the Firefox extension for 1Password just stopped working. Update: New update out 1Password working with Apple to resolve macOS Safari and Chrome browser extension bug (official workarounds inside) 1. I've seen it take up to 10 minutes for me. The database syncs via, but changes usually appear at and in the extension within a couple of seconds of hitting save in the desktop app. ![]() The switch went great and everything worked well. The login state syncs directly between the desktop app and the newer '1Password in the browser' extensions. 1Password Firefox extension not working - solved! ![]()
